About Captain Corey Engelman

capt_profile

I was born and raised in Palm Beach Gardens, FL and now live just north in Jupiter with my wife and son. I have spent much of my life fishing the waters of Jupiter and the surrounding areas. As a teenager, I worked in several bait and tackle shops, Lott. Bros. in North Palm Beach and Grand Slam Sportfishing Supply in Jupiter. My first mate job was in 1997 on a 51' Whitaker called Shamrock. That's when I really decided that I wanted to fish for a living. Over the years I have had the priviledge of fishing with some of the best captains in the industry. My family and I are also proud members of the West Palm Beach Fishing Club.

From 2001 until the end of 2007 I worked as mate and captain on the Black Dog, another boat that is docked at Seasport Marina. This is what inspired me to start my own business, Native Fishing Charters, LLC.
